Please note that Thursday's volleyball games against Cotter has been moved TO Cotter... the originally schedule away game on September 30 will now be played at home.

🐾 🌟 Our 5th and 6th graders have been busy this week sharpening their TAG and summary skills—and they made it look fun! 🌟 Working in teams, they practiced the super-important 21st century skills of collaboration and communication while racing to put summaries in the right order. 🧩💬 It was awesome to see how hard they worked and how much they enjoyed the challenge! Next week we’ll be taking it a step further and writing our very first introductory paragraphs. 📝 To help get ready, try practicing summaries at home using the Somebody… Wanted… But… So… Then… method. 👉 Don’t know what that is? Seniors collaboratively worked together to write a thesis statement. Each started with three descriptive words and eventually narrowed them down to determine that a hero should be courageous, wise, and selfless.

English 10 classes held a campaign to determine who was greatest villain of all time. They brainstormed names, narrowed them down to one per group, wrote a speech, and persuaded their peers to vote for their candidate. Who do you think is the greatest villain of all time?

⛳ Our Golfing Cougars keep their season rolling with matches at Turkey Mountain and Cherokee Village's South Course.
🏐 Volleyball officially kicks off with a season opener at Viola, followed by two conference matches to finish out the week.
🏈 And the wait is over... the first official football games of the season are set for Thursday and Friday nights!

We’re so excited to welcome Mesa McAnally and Kish Pool as our Odyssey of the Mind coaches this year! 🙌

They’ll be leading our students on a fun and creative adventure full of problem-solving, teamwork, and big ideas 💡✨. With their guidance, we know our teams are going to dream big, think outside the box, and have an awesome time along the way!

⛳🐾 Cougar Golf Update! 🐾⛳

Our Cougar golfers had a fantastic outing yesterday, competing against 27 players from 7 area schools!

🐾 Junior Kade Yancey battled his way to 2nd place, missing the medalist spot by just ONE stroke!
🐾 Sophomore Trenton Gilbreath wasn’t far behind, finishing in the Top 4, only 3 strokes off the lead!

The future is bright for Cougar Golf, and we can’t wait to watch them continue climbing the ranks in 2A golf!
