
Congrats to ICC's top bowlers from this week's match, Evan Cagle and Dayka Lock. ICC boys got the win over Highland, but came up short with Flippin.

The Lady Cougars defeated the Manila Lady Lions, 53-30, to advance to the finals of the Kell Classic. The Lady Cougars (14-5) were led by Quinn Johnson with 20 points and Makensie Yancey with 17.

The Izard County Jr. High Quiz Bowl team is the champion of the NAESC tournament, that took place at Ozarka College on Wednesday. The Cougars tallied a 5 - 0 record with the following wins:

The Junior Lady Cougars outlasted the Junior Lady Timberwolves, 41-36, on Tuesday. Kallie Skidmore led the Junior Lady Cougars with 20 points and Trinity Gaskins added 13.

The Izard County Junior Cougars defeated the Junior Timberwolves, 53-52, in OT on Tuesday. Kade Yancey sank a three from the corner as time expired to lift the Cougars (11-5 overall and 5-0 in the conference) to the victory. Benaiah Spray led the Junior Cougars with 15 points. Yancey added 12, Braxton McCandlis with 11, Aaron Dockins 10 and Kyler Brashear 5.

The Izard County Lady Cougars (13-5 overall and 5-3 in the conference) defeated the Lady Timberwolves, 67-51, on Tuesday. Quinn Johnson led the Lady Cougars with 27 points. Makensie Yancey added 18, and Katie Orf and Olivia Spray contributed 9 each.

The Izard County Cougars (13-6 overall and 5-3 in the conference) defeated the Cedar Ridge Timberwolves, 68-60, on Tuesday. Gabe Spray led the Cougars with 29 points. Jude Everett added 19, and Kasen Black 10.

All 4 basketball teams will play Cedar Ridge, starting at 4:30 today, January 9.

ACT classes will be Jan 29-Feb 9, from 3:15-5:00. Students planning to participate will need to sign up with Mrs. Roberts or Mrs. Treat.

Another reminder that school will be in session on Monday, January 15. ICC will be out of school on April 8, due to eclipse related safety concerns.


ICC athletes and their parents will be honored during senior night on Friday, January 26. This will be for all sports, eith the exception of football and cheer (they were recognized in the fall).


The Lady Cougars defeated the Pocahontas Lady Indians, 61-46, in the Kell Classic. The Lady Cougars advance to the semifinals on Wednesday at 4:00. The Lady Cougars improve to 12-5 on the season and they were led by Olivia Spray with 18 points. Quinn Johnson added 16, Makensie Yancey 13, and Katie Orf 8.

The Cougars defeated the Lead Hill Tigers, 51-22. The Cougars (12-6) were led by Gabe Spray with 14 points and Jude Everett with 7.
The Junior Cougars defeated the Lead Hill Junior Tigers, 50-32. The Junior Cougars (10-5) were led by Kade Yancey with 14 points. Benaiah Spray added 9 and Aaron Dockins 8.
