Help us welcome aboard Sami Jo Hardin as the Elementary Cafe Manager for the 25-26 school year!
Sami Jo says that she is so excited to join the district. She attended culinary school and loves to cook, so taking on the role as cafeteria manager is the perfect fit for her. Her husband, Hunter, is the pastor at Myron Baptist Church. Her daughters, Willa and Tressie, will be in second grade and pre-k next year.
We're very happy to have you, Mrs. Hardin, and we look forward to a great year!

Today's #CougarSeniorSpotlight post goes to upcoming graduate Makayla Taylor!
Makayla says that one teacher in particular has had a lasting impact on her experience at ICHS. She said, "Officer Brett has made the biggest impact on my life. He has consistently encouraged me to achieve my highest potential academically and personally."
After graduation, Makayla plans to attend college and pursue a career in physical therapy.
We're very proud of you, Makayla! We hope that the next chapter brings you much joy and much success. Best wishes!

We will run regular bus routes at regular time on Monday. Bus drivers will run all routes at their discretion to ensure the safety of all students.

On this #SeniorSunday we move the #CougarSeniorSpotlight to Class of 2025 graduate Cash Arnhart!
Throughout his time at ICHS, Cash has been a very active student. He's been on the Cougar Basketball, Baseball, and Football teams. He's also a member of Student Council, CHASE, and Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Even while keeping busy and being an active part of our Cougar community, Cash has maintained a 4.0 GPA!
When asked about his favorites, Cash had a couple of people in particular who he says have had a great impact on his educational experience: "Teacher: Rachel Faulkner- She has been an amazing teacher and helped me throughout each class I have had her in. Coach: Kyle McCandlis- He has been a great basketball coach that believed in me and helped me realize that the games not over until the final buzzer rings."
His favorite memory is making a run in basketball state tournament and making memories with his teammates and coaches that will last a lifetime.
Cash plans to attend either Lyon College or Harding University to begin pre-med studies.
We're incredibly proud of you, Cash! You'll be greatly missed; your Cougar family will be rooting for you in all you do in the future!

Welcome another returning member to the 25-26 team, Mandy Brewer! Mrs. Brewer will be teaching 7th and 8th grade science and 7th grade math. She said, "I’m excited to return to Izard County and continue inspiring our students in STEM. I look forward to a great year of learning and discovery with our students and staff!"
We're excited to have you back, Mrs. Brewer... we know your impact on STEM education will be great!
