Congrats to Willa Everett for her outstanding performances, securing 4th in 100m, 5th in 200m, 2nd in 100m hurdles, 2nd in 300m hurdles, and 8th in triple jump! Amazing job, Willa! Big shoutout to Aaron Dockins for his stellar efforts, placing 5th in 110m hurdles, 5th in 300m hurdles, and 7th in long jump! Way to go, Aaron!

Lady Cougars get a big conference road win tonight over the South Side Bee Branch Lady Hornets, 5-2. The Lady Cougars broke up a scoreless game with 5 runs in the 5th inning and held on for the win. Megan McBride went the distance on the mound, scattering 3 hits, 2 runs, with 17 strikeouts. Katie Orf led the Lady Cougars with a triple, 2 RBIs, and a run scored. Quinn Johnson added 2 hits, including a triple, 1 run scored, Hollie Johnson, 2 hits, RBI, 1 run scored, McBride and Trinity Gaskins, a hit, 1 run scored each, Makensie Yancey, a sacrifice fly, RBI.
Congratulations to Jesse Warden for an outstanding performance in the pole vault at the Quitman Relays! Jesse cleared 9'6" to secure 1st place. Way to go, Jesse! Akynna Nielsen placed 8th out of 26 athletes in the 100 meter dash with a time of 14.54 seconds. Congratulations to our Sr. High Track and Field athletes for pushing themselves and continuing to grow! Keep working!

After School Program students in 6th-8th grade have started a Crazy 8s Math Club. They are learning all kinds of math in fun and creative ways!

Our Sr. High and Jr. High Chess teams competed in the Northcentral Arkansas Educational Cooperative chess tournament in Batesville today. Our Sr. High team won the championship and Xander McCandlis won the individual championship. Also, Keegan Johnson placed 3rd, Cayden Trautt 4th, and Caleb Johnson 5th.
The Jr. High Chess team finished 3rd with Joey Conway coming in 10th place.
Congratulations to our outstanding track and field athletes who shined at the Bald Knob Junior High Invitational 2024! Special shoutout to those who came in 1st through 8th place in their respective events:
Willa Everett: 100 Meter Hurdles (3rd) - 18.84 seconds, Long Jump (8th) - 13-8.5, 300 Meter Hurdles (6th) - 59.01 seconds. Also, a round of applause for Willa for achieving a personal best in the 100 Meter Hurdles!
A huge congratulations to Evan Cole for setting personal records in both the 1600 Meter Run (6:07.01) and the 400 Meter Dash (1:15.74).

The Lady Cougars were led by Quinn Johnson with a triple, double, 3 runs scored, 4 RBI, and Megan McBride, 2 hits including a double, 3 runs scored, 3 RBI. Hollie Johnson added 3 hits, RBI, Trinity Gaskins, 3 hits, 2 runs scored, Emily Stephens, double, run scored, RBI, Makensie Yancey, double, RBI, Willow Warden, single, run scored, Katie Orf and Tinlee Bailey, run scored each. McBride got the win on the mound, going 7 innings, 2 hits, 2 runs, 1 earned run, 17 strikeouts.
