Today's #CougarSeniorSpotlight post goes to Willow Grace Warden! Willow is a very active student in our district. She plays on the Cougars' volleyball and softball teams, and she managed the Senior Lady Cougars Basketball team. She also participates in BETA Club, CHASE, Student Council, and Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Willow said that a lot of her favorite memories revolve around high school spirit weeks. She said, "Homecoming in high school was always so exciting! I loved seeing everyone dressed up, football games and I loved walking as a maid and feeling so pretty. It was so amazing seeing everyone participating in the school spirit." After high school, Willow plans to further her education at Ozarka College and become an Ultrasound Tech. Willow, we thank you for all you've given at ICHS! Thank you for being a leader in your many clubs and sports, and thank you for your generous, compassionate heart. We're going to miss your smile and kindness at school, but we are excited to follow the success you'll have in your future! Best wishes!

The #CougarSeniorSpotlight shines brightly on upcoming graduate Xander McCandlis! As a student-athlete at Izard County, Xander has been very actively involved in the Cougar baseball, football, basketball, bowling, and chess teams. When asked about his most impactful teacher, Xander said, "The teacher with the biggest impact on me has been Mrs. Faulkner. She pushes me to be better every day, and has believed in me since the very first time I took one of her classes." After high school, Xander plans to further both his academic and athletic careers at NorthArk College. He plans to become a coach. Xander, we're so proud of you. Your work ethic, your courageous ability persevere and overcome, and your positive outlook on life are among the many things that we'll miss about having you in the halls at ICHS. Thanks for consistently making an impact on those around you. We'll be cheering you on as you continue to excel in the next stages of life!
