A poem written by ICC senior, Alexus McLaughlin, has been selected to be published in a compilation of other poems in June of this year! Mrs. Treat entered Alexus' poem, "The Way of Life" into a poetry contest that Creative Communications out of North Logan, Utah holds for students grades K-12. Congratulations, Alexus!

- 1st performance, tomorrow Friday 1/5/24 at the high school gym during half time of the sr girls game. Students need to wear their little dribbler shirts and meet in the HS cafeteria no later than 6:30pm.

We will be making up the December 14 intramural night tomorrow night, January 4.
Due to the safety concerns related to the large number of people that are expected to be in the area for the total solar eclipse, school will not be in session on Monday, April 8. To replace that day, school will be in session Monday, January 15. Please save this updated school calendar.

The Izard County Lady Cougars defeated the Riverside Lady Rebels, 60-57, to win the NEA Tournament! The sixth seeded Lady Cougars (11-5) defeated the top seeded Lady Rebels, who are the No. 3 ranked team in Class 2A. The Lady Cougars defeated the second seeded Marked Tree Lady Indians in the semifinals. The Lady Indians are the No. 3 ranked team in 1A. The Lady Cougars were led by Quinn Johnson with 20 points. Olivia Spray added 13, Makensie Yancey 12, and Tinley Bailey 9.
The Cougars won third place in the Bad Boy Mowers Ronnie Brogdon Tournament today with a 59-51 win over the Melbourne Bearkatz. The Cougars (10-6) were led by Gabe Spray with 30 points and Jude Everett with 12.
Congrats to Lady Cougars for their big upset win today over the Marked Tree Lady Indians, 60-50, in the semifinals of the NEA Tournament! The sixth seeded Lady Cougars (10-5) advance to the finals tomorrow at 4:45 PM. The Lady Cougars were led by Olivia Spray with 21 points. Makensie Yancey added 15, Quinn Johnson 14, and Tinley Bailey 10.
The Izard County Cougars lost 61-59 to the Cedar Ridge Timberwolves in the semifinals of the Bad Boy Mowers Ronnie Brogdon Tournament. The Cougars (9-6) were led by Jude Everett with 21 points and Gabe Spray with 15. The Cougars will play in the third place game at 3 PM on Friday.
