We will run the same bus routes on Friday, 2/6, as we did on Thurs (detailed in pictures below). Unfortunately, there are some roads that are still covered in shaded areas, as well as some turn around locations that pose issues for our buses. Elementary before and after school programs will be open.

Wednesday evening, during our final home basketball games of the 25-26 season, we will honor our senior athletes who participate in basketball, baseball, volleyball, track, and bowling. There ceremony will take place after the third game of the night. We ask for Seniors and their families to come to the cafeteria at halftime of the third game for pictures and to begin getting lined up. That will likely be sometime around 7:15 pm.

We look forward to seeing you there!

🎉 Double the Congratulations! 🎉

We are proud to celebrate these outstanding educators who have been awarded 2025 CHS/CoBank Foundation Classroom Grants—an incredible achievement!

👏 Congratulations to Hannah Gibson, Kirsten Sherrill, and Taylor Batterton, whose project IC STEM Third Grade “Squash & Strawberries” Raised-Bed Garden connects CKLA, Native Americans & Colonial Times with math and science through hands-on learning. Their innovative approach, strong community support, and broad student impact helped this project stand out among nearly 240 applicants!

🐣 Congratulations as well to Kristen Jones, whose project “Life in an Egg – Hatching Baby Chicks in First Grade” will give students an unforgettable, real-world learning experience. Judges were impressed by her creative idea and the meaningful way it will engage young learners in science and life cycles.

✨ A huge thank-you and shoutout to STEM Coordinator Courtney Selph, who helped guide and support our teachers through the grant-writing process. Her leadership and encouragement played a key role in turning these great ideas into successful, funded projects.

Out of nearly 240 applications, only 40 grants were awarded—making this accomplishment even more impressive. Both projects reflect excellence, creativity, and a deep commitment to student learning.

🌟 We are so proud of you all and can’t wait to see these projects come to life in the classroom. Congratulations on this well-deserved recognition!
