Alex has been a member of BETA Club, Criminal Justice program, Cougar Choir, Cougar Band, and Art. Her future plans include pursuing a degree in psychology while attending Lyon College.
Alex says that Mrs. Phillips has had the greatest impact on her life. She said, "If any teacher has made an impact in my life it would be Mrs.Phillips. She has always been there for me and is always the sweetest person to be around."
Alex, we'll miss your sweet spirit. We hope you'll keep that same attitude as you go in to the next stages of life. Thanks for all the hard work over the years. You'll be missed at ICHS, and we wish you nothing but success!
We move the #Cougar SeniorSpotlight to soon-to-be-graduate, Xander Robins!
Xander's future plans include enlisting in the US Army. His favorite memory is walking around downtown together on the EAST trip and enjoying the company of his classmates and friends. He said it's impossible to pick a teacher that has had the greatest impact on him... "They have all done wonderful jobs connecting and helping their students."
Xander, we'll miss your friendly & easy-going attitude as well as your strong sense of purpose. You'll be an outstanding leader in the military. We've loved seeing your growth and dedication and appreciate your willingness to go the extra mile for your friends. We'll be rooting for you in the future!

Congratulations to our first Microsoft Word Certification recipients of this school year: Alex Millington, Gavin Satterwaite, Jacob Smallwood, and Grace Freeman! Congrats also to Toby Pratt, Lauren Clowers, Destiny Wisecarver, and Michelle Wallis for earning their Microsoft PowerPoint Certification! All of these students have been preparing for Microsoft Certification Exams in Mrs. Jackson's Survey of Business class.
The Lady Cougars' game against Sloan-Hendrix has been moved up due to the chances of rain later in the evening... it will begin as soon as the game before it ends... it could be as early as 4:30. Let's help the Lady Cougars beat the Greyhounds and make it to the finals!

We had a great day at the 2A-2 Senior High Conference Track Meet hosted at ICHS today! The Cougars finished the day with high point winners for both the boys and girls! Congratulations to Hayden Strong and Akynna Nielsen! The Lady Cougars team had the most points ended the day as Conference Champs! The boys are Conference Runners-up! We had a lot of student-athletes qualify for state at today's meet. Stay tuned for an album of today's events and a complete list of state qualifiers.

We don't have all of the details from the game just yet, but we know that the Cougars had a big win in the first round of the District Tournament yesterday! They move on to play the Sloan-Hendrix Greyhounds tomorrow at 6:15 in round two.

Students in grades 5-8 will take the ATLAS test Tuesday-Friday this week! Attendance on these days is very important! We can't wait to see what our Cougars can do on this test this week!
Don't forget! Any student in grades 6-11 who is interested in being a cheerleader for the Cougars for the 25-26 school year should attend the informational meeting tomorrow (Monday) at 5:30 at the elementary cafeteria! Students should be accompanied by a parent/guardian.

Congratulations to soon-to-be-graduate, Susan Strnadova!
Susan is an exchange student who has been with us throughout the 25-26 school year. She is a Cougar cheerleader and bowler, and was active with both BETA and FBLA. She won first place in digital design at FBLA competition and won second place in Arkansas Art Peace Week competitions. She plans to continue competing in art back in Europe.
Susan said she's made some great memories this past year, but her favorites revolve around cheerleading. She said, "I loved cheering so much, it has been my passion since I've been here and I would love to continue if only I had the chance..." She said her favorite teacher has been Mrs. Moore because she loves her positivity and her appreciation for hard work.
Susan, we've loved having you with us! Your incredible intelligence and hard work will take you very far in life. Keep your positive attitude and keep working hard! Your Cougar family will be cheering you on! Best wishes!

On this Senior Sunday, we have a bit of catching up to do with our #CougarSeniorSpotlight posts!
First up is upcoming graduate, Maylea Stevens! As a Cougar, Maylea has been invovled in Choir, FFA, and BETA Club. When asked about her favorite teacher, she told us this: "Mrs. Phillips. She helped me out through hard times, and helped me learn so much while being here." After graduation, Maylea plans to enter the workforce.
Maylea, you've been an extremely hard worker and so diligent about doing things well! We'll miss your creativity and artistic abilities around ICHS... thanks for being a great student throughout the years! We wish you all the best in your next chapter!
