Cash Arnhart hit two home runs and drove in seven as the Izard County Cougars defeated Mammoth Spring 19-0 this afternoon. The Cougars had a 17 run first inning coming from singles from Caiden Wiseman (2 RBIs), Tyler Morehead (1 RBI) and Kade Yancey (1 RBI), doubles from Xander McCandlis (2 RBIs) and Yancey (2 RBIs) and a grand slam from Arnhart. Dawson Beard, Braxton McCandlis, and Wiseman all drove in runs after being hit by pitches. Another home run from Arnhart added two more runs in the third inning. Porter Burton earned the win on the bump today. He gave up zero hits and zero runs over three innings, striking out nine and walking none. The Cougars tallied 12 hits and 8 stolen bases in the game and had incredible patience at the plate that led to six walks in the game. They had no errors in the field. They'll be back in action on Thursday afternoon for a conference match up with Cedar Ridge. Great work today, Cougars!
