Coach Ninemire's U.S. History classes have been learning about the Dust Bowl and what life was like for people living throughout that time period. After classroom instruction, students utilized the STEM lab to create dioramas that accurately portrayed what a scene from the Dust Bowl era would have looked like. They did a great job collaborating with one another and using available resources to make some really creative pieces!

The Junior and Senior High Varsity teams finished with big conference wins over Midland tonight! Great work, Lady Cougars!

🧮 Today in Mrs. Kali’s 2nd grade class, students practiced solving word problems. Students were asked to solve problems with partners, then on their own, and finally got to present their methods to the entire class. Mrs. Kali loved watching how engaged they were and how they compared their methods to their peers!

🐾 🧑🔬 At the ICC After School Program, our citizen scientists have started exploring and designing insect habitats, diving into hands-on learning! 🐞 Students also enjoy choice time with activities like chess, and our 3rd graders had a blast playing Pop-It Multiplication to strengthen their math skills!

🏐 Watch the Volleyball Action Live! 🏐 If you can't make the trip to Midland to watch tonight's volleyball action, you can still cheer on the Lady Cougars from home! Catch all the excitement from our school's streaming page: https://www.facebook.com/share/GCBqnt6CDjJAqH16/?mibextid=LQQJ4d

The Izard County School District is aware of rumors regarding a potential threat that would cause alarm; however, there are no current threats to the school district. The incident which caused the concern, as well as the culprit have been identified and thoroughly investigated through our partnership with local law enforcement. As always, all school entrances are locked and we have School Resource Officers stationed at both campuses. The safety of our school, staff, and students is always a top priority.

⭐️COUGAR SPOTLIGHT⭐️ for our phenomenal school resource officers!!!

Mrs. Rachel's high school special education classes have been busy working on their fish tank's nitrogen cycle! On Friday, students tested the water for ammonia, nitrates, and pH to establish a baseline. They also tested the water of another classroom tank that is mature. This gives students a real-life comparison for data! Today, they added live aquarium plants and a few snails. With their research on the full nitrogen cycle, they have come to the conclusion that they may start to see changes in the measurable data by Friday, September 13. They will re-test the water then, and continue testing on a weekly basis. Once the water has reached the appropriate conditions, fish will be added!

Now through September 19, you can purchase items from this store as an ICC Basketball Teams Fundraiser.
