It's GAMEDAY for the Lady Cougars! They begin Regional Tournament play tonight at Riveside High School against Rector. Tipoff is set for 7:00. LET'S GO, LADY COUGARS!!
DON'T FORGET that you can't purchase tickets at the door... you must purchase them in advance through Go Fan (link below). The best way to do this is to download the app and purchase from there so you can easily pull your ticket back up. Screenshots and photocopies of the ticket will not be accepted. It's almost time for spring sports for Cougar Athletics... these are all outside sports, so with that sometimes comes schedule changes due to weather. Always be on the lookout here for updates to these schedules!

Revised school calendar, after last week's inclement weather closures. Please note that we will be in session on March 14, March 21, May 12, and our last day will now be May 13.
Back to school tomorrow (MONDAY), with buses running regular routes. See you soon!
Peewee Basketball Schedule Change
It's a semi-final GAMEDAY for the Cougars! The Senior Girls will tipoff against Marshall at 4:00 at Tuckerman... and the Senior Boys game against Sloan-Hendrix will directly follow. We can't wait to see Cougar Nation show up and support our Cougars!
Any fans traveling to the game today should avoid Highway 37 between Cord and Tuckerman because the road is underwater due to flooding.

Our school calendar will be revised to reflect changes caused by this week's inclement weather closures. School will be in session on March 14, March 21, May 12 and May 13.
There will be no school on Friday, February 21, due to snow/ice covered roads.
The Senior High District Tournament games scheduled for Thursday have been moved to Friday - weather permitting.
There will be no school on Wednesday, 2/19/25, due to inclement weather.
The weather forecast has changed overnight. Snow could be arriving by 11 am. School will be closed on Tuesday, 2/18/25.
We are closely monitoring the weather and have decided, based on the current forecast, to dismiss Tuesday (2/18/25) at noon, after serving both breakfast and lunch to all of our students.
Izard County FFA kicked off FFA week by cooking pancakes and bacon for faculty and staff... and it was much appreciated!
There will be no After School Program on Tuesday, February 18, due to the forecasted inclement weather.
School will be in session tomorrow, as a makeup snow day from last month. It's going to be cold, but we'll have our classrooms and meals warm and ready for you!

It was a huge day for the Junior High Quiz Bowl team... they participated in the 2A State Tournament and are coming home as STATE CHAMPIONS!!
The scores speak for themselves on the Cougars' success today.. .they outscored their opponents in all matches on the day by over 1000 points! Evan Cole was named Tournament MVP with 9.6 toss-ups per game. Ian Bear also made the All-tournament team with 8 toss-ups per game, and Alex Millington contributed 4 per game. Captain Brayden Treat led them in collaboration as they controlled the bonus rounds of all 5 games, only allowing the opposing teams 2 bonus opportunities all day.
Way to go, JH Quiz Bowl and Coach Charles Treat! We are SO proud of you!
